Intensive Moscow's Assaults Cut Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered disruption to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under heavy assaults overnight. A minor died and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
